David Handlos – Q-Summit

Co-Founder Stocard

After completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Mannheim, David Handlos studied at the London School of Economics and the Kellogg School of Management in the US and earned his master’s degree in 2012. As founder and CEO of Stocard, David is now responsible for marketing and sales.

Stocard is a true Mannheim startup. The three founders, David Handlos, Björn Goß and Florian Barth – all former students of the University of Mannheim – started with the idea of the mobile wallet in 2011. Since then the app evolved to a leading mobile wallet already used by more than 35 million people around the globe. The company’s innovative and easy-to-use app allows millions of users around the world to downsize their wallets and lets retailers connect with customers to drive them to stores.

While Stocard is still based in and strongly connected to Mannheim, the startup has already opened offices in Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, France and Canada. Backed by top-tier European, U.S. and Australian investors, the company wants to continue its growth and offer its one-stop wallet – including financial services, shopping, and more – to 100 of millions of customers in Europe, Northern America, and APAC and shape the future of how people shop and access financial services.
