After completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Mannheim, David Handlos studied at the London School of Economics and the Kellogg School of Management in the US and earned his master’s degree in 2012. As founder and CEO of Stocard, David is now responsible for marketing and international sales.
Stocard is a true Mannheim startup. The three founders, David Handlos, Björn Goß and Florian Barth – all former students of the University of Mannheim – started with the idea of the mobile wallet in 2011. Since then their app has evolved to Europe’s market leading mobile wallet app and the startup is on the quest to become the No. 1 mobile wallet in the world. While Stocard is still based in and strongly connected to Mannheim, the startup has already opened offices in Australia, Italy and the Netherlands. Backed by top-tier European and U.S. investors, Stocard has built a user base of more than 13 million people across the globe. The company’s innovative and easy-to-use app allows millions of users around the world to downsize their wallets and lets retailers connect with customers to drive them to stores. With passion and cutting-edge technology, Stocard is redefining the future of shopping.
