The Mannheim alumnus Dr. Alexander von Frankenberg is the managing director of the High-Tech Gründerfonds, the biggest seed stage investor in Germany, and we are happy to announce him as a speaker at Q-summit. He obtained his bachelor degree at our university and continued to pursue his MBA in Austin, Texas. In 1995 he returned to Mannheim to receive his doctorate in the field of the establishment of technology standards. During his successful career, Alexander von Frankenberg focussed primarily on IT and innovation. His various employers such as an IT-startup, Siemens and Andersen Consulting offered him diverse perspectives on the challenges businesses and entrepreneurs face in the field of technology. Alexander von Frankenberg has been active in the venture capital and startup business for 17 years and has managed the High-Tech Gründerfonds since 2005.
